Cwm Idwal Walk

What did you do last weekend, we walked and saw the most dramatic mountainous scenery at Cwm Idwal.

The Cwm Idwal walk starts at Ogwen Cottage, Nant Ffrancon, Bethesda, LL57 3LZ.

It is a moderate 3 hour walk covering 3 miles.  You can admire spectacular mountain views.  It take you into a normally inaccessible upland environment and through beautiful ice-sculptured Cwm Idwal – a bowl shaped hollow filled with the crystal clear waters of Llyn Idwal.

The site is world famous for its rock formations and its rare and fragile plant life.
